As a glass technologist in CelSian you act as scientific expert in glass melting processes, for our clients around the world as well as for CelSian colleagues. You lead and support multiple technical projects with key clients, and also act as a trainer for our Academy.
Key tasks
- Act as a global thought leader in specific domain of glass melting processes (‘claim’ the area).
- Support CelSian Academy as trainer.
- Support our customers and CelSian team with solving technological challenges.
- Represent CelSian at (academic) conferences with remarkable contributions.
- Initiate ideas for new projects, and develop these ideas into customer supported projects.
- Connect, support and collaborate with multiple academic institutes on material and glass science (suggest PhD, Post-Doc programs, lecturing etc).
Requirements
- Master in process engineering, physics or chemical engineering.
- Passion to drive environmental friendly solutions.
- Fluent in English and one more language (ideally Chinese, French, German, Italian or Spanish).
- Extensive experience in glass industry (or other energy intensive manufacturing).
- Team player, strong in coaching /teaching and project management.
- Can-do mentality (you thrive when putting ideas to work).
