Born from TNO Glass Group and Philips, CelSian became independent by 2012. We pride ourselves on a team of scientists and engineers from diverse backgrounds, combining deep academic knowledge with real-world application experience. Originally built on expertise in glass, we now leverage strong data analytics, academic rigor, and practical insights and knowledge to support a broader range of industries. The German Glass Society (HVG-DGG) brings together researchers, technologists, and industry partners to advance scientific knowledge in glass. Through this network, CelSian contributes to technical discussions, stays close to emerging academic insights, and helps translate scientific developments into practical applications for industrial glassmaking.
The GlassTrend organisation is a consortium of worldwide operating industries and institutes working in the field of glass and glass production. The name GlassTrend is an acronym of Glass Technology Research & New Developments and the association aims to co-ordinate research and development activities to improve the competitive strength of glass industries, its suppliers and customers.
