Celfos: CFD-Powered AI for Smarter Process Control
Predict quality. Control performance. Reduce costs.
What is Celfos software?
Celfos combines CFD modeling (via GTM-X) with advanced AI algorithms to predict future glass quality and recommend optimal furnace settings up to 48h in advance. Using data from the furnace, such as temperatures and process settings, the model can learn patterns that affect final product quality, such as the number of bubbles or knots. This foresight enables operators to anticipate potential issues and make adjustments before quality degrades. By looking ahead instead of reacting, Celfos enables stable operations, higher yield, and lower costs. Celfos continuously updates its quality predictions using real-time process data. Operators are then presented with up-to-date forecasts of glass quality, enabling them to take proactive actions. The application also provides past predictions for comparison, which builds operator confidence in the system’s accuracy. We call it physics-based AI.
At CelSian, We Understand Your Challenges
- Quality variability: Persistent cords, bubbles, seeds, or refining instabilities that are hard to predict and control.
- Unpredictable transitions: Long downtimes and waste during color or product changeovers due to unstable process responses.
- Balancing cost and quality: Rising energy consumption while still struggling to keep glass quality consistent under changing pull rates.
- Operator burden: Too much reliance on manual interventions, leading to inconsistency across shifts and sites.
Turning challenges into results with Celfos

Keeps stability, energy use, and quality in perfect alignment.
Forecasts process responses to cut downtime and waste.
Turns complex furnace data into clear, AI-based guidance.
Monitoring & Predicting Glass Quality with Celfos
Celfos, our AI based process controller, is introduced in 2024 in Asia on a float furnace. Since then we have successfully worked on projects for container and fibre glass also, providing real-time monitoring and prediction of glass quality against lowest operational costs.
